Brewing Instructions for Green Fruit Teas
With the first wisp of steam from the kettle, pour water over fruit tea bag and allow to brew briefly for maximum fruity flavor.
Serve your freshley brewed green tea without milk. If you like a sweeter taste, rather than adding sugar, our range of green teas taste especially good with honey.
As with all green teas, proper water temperature is essential for bringing out the true essence of the leaf.
Generally, water temperatures should not exceed 180 degrees Fahrenheit, steeping time is around 2 -3 minutes.
Excessive temperatures and longer steep times cause green tea to become bitter and astringent.
Taste the difference and enjoy an excellent and satisfying green fruit tea.

Good water will make a world of difference in the taste of your tea. After all, even the finest of tea varieties will taste humdrum when prepared with poor water and this does not add to the flavour of your tea. As a healthy, and great-tasting alternative, we recommend 100% pure spring water.
No Additives, Preservatives, Artificial Flavors or Colors are used in fruits used by Australian Fruit Tea Company. Every effort is made to use organic fruits when available. Best quality Ceylon tea is grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides and are radiation free.

Types of tea we use.
- Black tea grown bordering Sri Lanka’s largest rain forest called “Singharaja”
- All tea gardens here are free of any blitzes etc which affect the tea bush and therefore pesticides or herbicides are not used.
- Dry leaf - Black, hard [not soft], well twisted.
- Infusion - Bright coppery denoting excellent quality.
- Liquor
- Bright red with yellowish tint. Fuller all round cup with a distinctive “gold ring” characteristic of top quality Ceylon tea. - Natural fruit flavors
Keep it Loose
Tea made from loose leaves have higher antioxidant levels than tea bags.
Instructions for Use for Loose Leaf Teas
- Remove tea from foil bag place into air tight tin. Store in cool dry place.
- Suggested ratio is one teaspoon of leaves per two cups of water. Fruit teas taste best when prepared with cooler water, so boil water then allow to cool for 2 minutes, pour water and steep briefly. Important to remove tea leaves as the tea flavour will overtake the delicate fruit flavour.
Adding a slice of lemon or orange will enhance the natural citrus
flavours. - Store any left over fruit tea in the refrigerator, add your sliced orange or lemon to any flavor, it is delicious cold and also is wonderful in sauces.
